so how freaky it is, really. that you find out things in the hardest, most complicated ways possible? that in one day, you have a terrible chemistry paper (easily the worst i've ever taken ever in my whole life) - and you realize... God has answered your prayer in a way you never expected.

i think what really nags at my mind is that, it just so happened that this morning, i committed something to Him in morning QT (which is pretty awesome btw). went to school happy and normal (: albeit missing having to pick up amanda, but laughing later on at the sheer size of our class - 5 students compared to the rest of the usual full classes, for the most part O.o two papers later... not feeling very liberated due to the highly disgusting crescendoed finish to the mid-years.

so never mind not answering half the questions properly :/ i don't know what to do w it really. part one: give up the old, because its been nagging my mind for a long while now. let the past be the past, basically. part two: ... (still confused)

and because i asked God whether i should do part one, or just keep going? then part two happened, and suddenly life became clearer but messes some things up quite a bit. oh and somewhere along the way, part one came back to haunt me

wtp right? and the worst thing thats keeping my mind turning like mad... if i was really sure about part one, would i let something like this nag at me from morning to like, forever?

yeh okay, too much and i'm officially gonna go on a vow soon

***

class party today! (: at chris foo's residence. began w watching juji grocery shop at holland v cold storage, amusedly indeed. and after, meeting amanda and cabbing over to foo's. ensuing which - games of xbox dead or alive, pool dunking, songs by the water, chatting easily, eating/drinking (vodka and juices), twister, etc.

so very memorable parts, besides the watermelon from juji, which reminded us highly of wow and the coconut. beulah owning on xbox DoA and not knowing she was the winning dude, beulah going KILL KILL! :D beulah w all her twisted ideas during some rpg thing we were playing for fun... haha omg everyth is beulah o.O

and after, a stoned out lloyd -
"ah, KRISTEN!" *hugs a tree*
later...*hugs a pillar* "kristen!"

i swear! :P plus, i quote his msn -

lloyd - __ says:
i wld otherwise never make such inappropriate remarks
lloyd - __ says:
its unlike me!
Jc. (:                    the "MONDAY" after, the choices you make says:
HAHAHA
Jc. (:                    the "MONDAY" after, the choices you make says:
do you even know what you said anymore?
lloyd - __ says:
what thing?

p.s. i touched no alcohol :D kept my promise, you guys!

this is just one of those hasty little posts you suddenly feel like writing in the middle of the second biggest exam of the year. or just before the horrid combination of biology and math (hl and sl, respectively, thank God)

so well... been hitting the nights away on the daybed (ironic) cos its easier to make myself wake up at FIVE am on a surface thats significantly harder than my bed :/ and mug whatever's coming out that morning! ugh. plus the mosquitoes and cold pre-daybreak (REMINDED OF ENGLISH A1 PAPER NOW ARE WE! o.O) kind of serves as an alarm clock too!

not sure if thats a good thing or not. and im really so thankful tt i listened to C's advice at th beginning of this year and took econs HL instead of math HL. it wasnt really cos of GTG but now, just looking at all th math HL ppl... its quite scary :/ and imagine taking bio+math HL in one day (tmr)?! plus i wouldn't have manda kim feli almas mari lloyd karlo zf altogether w me in desmond yap's class, otherwise! :D

so today was econs yes and it was awesome (: OKAY, exaggeration much... but compared to like, Yesterday. plus it was a 40min paper! wished th history ppl like AS PL etc all my love and best wishes after, had TT teach me calvin cycle/bio + whine abt msc/msb lol - and since then been back home and done nth but mug bio hardcore, swim and quick gossip session w CL

miss those days when you could just swim the time away and tan out on th deck chairs, maybe even find yourself sipping mojitos on a pretty bali beach w th sun warming/bronzing your face? or just lazing in th malls w your best girlfriends and zipping things off the shelves quicker than you could say "boo!"? oh dear. those were the days, and those are going to be the days after next monday.

all my love to those taking math sl with me tmr - for manda, its her freaking last paper omg i can't stand her it HAHA! =) guess th monday class party is sthg to look fw to after all, then

so i hope i don't make d-yap rip his hair out too much, really wanna do well for math cos its like a saving grace. even if i haven't even studied one bit for it except formulas :/ but its like last year's math... and also to disprove th effects of th comment d-yap apparently told C, th last time he came back (and which he was laughing over) -

"you know, that girl does no math in class! always eating, sleeping, on the phone, talking... anything but math!" O.O um yeh okay. getting the point here, HAHA
20080622
okay a few hours before d-day (: eeeks. so understudied for econs and bio much... big reason to be an uber mugger for the next two days or so. i can breathe after econs for like ten minutes and then do revision papers like mad for bio. heard its hard, and that joogal kishore set the paper! :/ AHHHH

today - a few hours before the exams: retail therapy. being sick of studying pc and monopoly, i zipped out of the house, armed w john sloman and the pink econs practice book. went to give grandma her birthday card (today!) and balloons haha (: popped over to paragon and in ten minutes, cashed in for two new pairs of adidas and keds shoes for school. i love!

cheesecake, jollibean snacks later... then back to monopoly. which i'm still doing now eeeep :/ wound up talking to pet and jogging in th gardens after. i guess, at the end of th day, mom's definitely justified when she says:

"when i was your age, i was mugging like mad and hardly went out of the house days before the exam. you go shopping, eating, jogging... you're like not scared at all or sthg." O.O mamma mia, its the calm before the storm.

and then in the optical (shades) store... "me chanel, you ray ban." - mom

so, er. yeah! (: GOD BLESS AND ALL THE BEST TMR
YOU KNOW YOU LOVE ME ACS IB XOXO
20080616
haha mugging bio is so stressful i had to do this. so its down to photosynthesis tmr, and gas laws/transition metals for chemistry tonight. then i'm officially finito with notes-making! aiming to do some econs practices tonight too (:

at any rate, my brain died so bad from mugging cellular respiration that well... a text to john tay: "hey john do we need to know the indiv molecular structures in the krebs cycle (i.e. my brain is frying to the core o.O) hahahaha thanks! (:"

... and he texted back: "are you crazy? u dun even have to know the names of the structures! ..."

O.O okay so back to notes-making.
20080615
so its seven more days to go. a very sexy seven. hopefully it also represents the prediction of each of the grades for our six IB subjects (: but well... realism much? (now what happened to the optimism so characteristic of the Sagittarius)

this is definitely the IB life. bits of paper tacked at random to the table lamp, or sticky notes on my desktop: some with EE or IOP ideas, most with homework by the tons, some with curses of horror and weariness, a couple with Bible verses to focus and prioritize each day.

we need God more than just a couple pieces of paper. am looking forward to the respite of sanctuary and breakfast/brunch (!) at Halia tomorrow morning. and just like the seniors said today during their Bible study: if you want BS, all the more we should have it next week. the closer the exams, the more we need our divine intervention (:

so proud and happy for the people in khon khaen right now... their service to the Lord in the form of English camps, spreading the love to those in homes, slums, etc. and praying constantly for each other, the teachers in charge, the children. yes the children! (: we're all keeping them in prayer. shoot, if only i went (but needed another girl to go, so yeah)

and if you want to know how my mid year preps have been? - - - DEAD. i study less than i eat (which is no mean feat). two weeks preceding the papers and i am found in cinemas, gym, park, shopping malls, hospital, St Pierre's (!)

pray for grandma and hope she'll get better. discharge tomorrow finally and i don't know if i can make it for class party now because because. dinner to celebrate her ... recovery of health? actually she ain't really 100% okay yet but she's so grumpy being shut in the ward, the doctor had to sign her out. LOL i don't ever wanna be that crabby when i'm old(er).

petrina liam thinks that i will never be able to drive/negotiate the roads successfully apparently. GRR PET! :D let's see me transport your kids around next time *wink*

"the three things you always do these days - eat, study, shop/ socialize." - mom

what the!
20080610
tis just a mightily a short while after i woke up omg im such a pig exams are coming and what am i doing?? facebook and updates wtf.

okay so so so. yesterday the kk people went off at arnd noon from changi airport "teetwee" (ask pet) and well i was sleeping so gave pet a call and she put me on speaker (: said farewell to some of them, bitch-slapped certain ppl (initials TL, mainly) and laughed at sam the man! who was apparently providing a trolley-pushing service arnd t3 - for russell and karlo the pinoy hahahaha

everyone in singapore wishes them all the very best! :D

and so... went to sicc for gym and salad dinner; came back to find many PRCs outside tiffany's gate! oO well she and ryan were there so they came over and we caught up and did a couple eps of gossip girl (!) -

ryan: nooo im losing my masculinity...
tiffany&me: T_T
ryan: gotta grunt and beat me chest!
me:  thats not being a man, thats being king kong!

so i brought the 2000-page campbell and reece to mug while eating lunch (bad i know). didnt wanna carry it upstairs though so i asked my maid -
me: eh... i'll switch this !#&*@$% book w that wet white disgusting rag youre carrying
malu: yeah but its this !#&*@$% book that will give you your future.
me: ........................

:D hehe. and okay now back to mugging my three HL subjects!
20080607
following a rather anticipated LDC prayer follow-up today came a quick visit to frolick at holland, what with strawberry flavors and blueberry toppings mmm! (: but what took the cake today:

*upon reaching home, these thought processes came to mind (no pun intended) : nobody's at home - i only have the main door key - the gate is locked - !!!*

so when nobody was looking, i squashed my bag into the nooks of the gate - i hope the snakeskin leather doesnt die because of the wet - and proceeded to climb over. at least i hope nobody was looking...

lingered a little on the top of the gate, perched rather precariously and thinking: oooh a 1 metre jump! so i hopped down... "****!"

skipped around a little from the impact on my ankles ): then hobbled in and immediately reported what happened very amusedly so.

- since then all i've done is a few chem questions, read the notes on transition metals and am now chugging introductory econs into my brain cells, medula oblongata (is that the spine/brain?!) whatever.

life's got to be sad for the above to make the "highlight" of the day wtf. at least buffet lunch at plaza sing's sakae sushi w my fellow BB bitch buddies was good (: TT and YW ate so much they could barely move; i myself just skipped dinner.

quote from lunch:
TT: yoga is damn erotic
YW: **** my mom does yoga!

and before that, SEX AND THE CITY w manda and faith was the bomb. they played labels or love by fergie (!!!) and the show was a grand mayhem of fashion (oh, love) and well... *ahem* the title says it all.

mom: "what were you up to today?"
me: "sex and the city."
mom: O.O

or amanda!
manda: "hey mom, sex was good."
mom: "oh..."
ella (younger sis): "?!??!?!"

something from our conversation last night: "uncle, take me to sex drive please." HAHAHA
20080605
ahhh back finally from all sorts of little jaunts and gallivants around south east asia (: after almost 2 weeks, its back to reality and work looks at us all rather nastily in the face. middies in 16 days and still feeling entirely laid back about it! oh no.

but WoW was sooo good (: in that our class honestly bonded really really well and i do miss them all and stuff now. i think it helped that everyone in our class has a genuinely lovable character and we all appreciate each other quite some? general camaraderie = awesome :D the most memorable things about WoW? (not gonna write a mother long story. me precious WoW memories can be stored in mah brain no matter what, and no need to place everyth out here hah)

#1 "DIE DIE DIE!" - bong, on trying to crack open coconuts
#2 "... squeaky!" - bong (again!), on the noise made from gouging the same coconut w a wee pair of scissors
#3 the subsequent class obsession with coconuts, esp jujimufu (! HAHAHA) and jr shimmying up trees to get the coconuts on survivor island
#4 class entertainment! - sloo and jujimufu toppling into the muddy water every 30 minutes?
#5 damnably cute kids with huge eyes in the orphanage
#6 the small guy i was "paedo"-ing and who kept scuttling away from me o.O
#7 being fashionably late on the first day at TMFT? :D
#8 way too much truth & dare for our own good. and shoot, shag, marry (:
#9 "HOU YUE!"
#10 *ahem ahem* suntanning on beach, wrestling with bong (eh she won okay)
#11 our sexy class sekrit
#12 committing suicide down the boat during boom-netting
#13 "lets just float to the other side of the net." like kiddies!
#14 having cool form teachers who can (1) pay for your spa treatment, even if you dont let them and (2) play guitar/sing and (3) confessions of an ex-druggie!
#15 dressing up on the campfire night (even though stuff happened after which was a tad distasteful)
#16 going bazooka in the hotel room with manda and bong
#17 shopping for $3 tops (something we DONT do in singapore)
#18 camwhoring/taking videos (un-scandalous) with manda
#19 sleeping with the waves over my feet on survivor island
#20 Quiet Time with God on the pier outside the huts on a cool sandy night

save the best for last, i say. oh and i did not lose anything. take that! hahahaha :D

and then after that came LDC 1 2008 (: which is by far the best camp i've ever been to. honestly, even WoW. what was the camp like? a grand-slam of reuniting with God after pulling away for so long, reminding myself of what He would really prefer me to be doing, and taking care of those darling dear year 2s... among others.

being rather old Primers, you see, we had a wee bunch of even wee-er year 2s attached to us. one was the hike squad, one was the normal LDC squad. regrets: not getting to know my LDC squad better. loved doing devotions with them though (apologies to sam chan for pangseh on day 1 devotions)

loves: spending a grand 12-13 hours with my hike squad. xi min and i had this angelic bunch with us, and officer/mr shaun chan (: raphael see, zach young, david leong, thaddaeus, alex goh! those little darlings were honestly such an inspiration in moving through the day following the day 2 campfire thing with all their good-hearted cheer and obvious concern for each other.

i think for me, day 3 was truly the best. in that my greatest take away from the camp came throughout the entire day - realising that God is really with us no matter what. frankly, being able to survive a gruelling 7 hour bike hike on nothing but 20 minutes of sleep, a few cups of milo, gatorade (PIXIE) powder and a couple oreos was truly puzzling - until i rmbed: God must be moving through the camp! :D and those year 2 dears also played a part, in seeing how high-spirited and motivated they were to persevere no matter what - they really gave that final push to the finish.

all these little things i'll definitely rmb:
#1 david turning his head to look at shell station (or dubiously, the old dude standing in shell station) and promptly falling off his bike (!)
#2 alex goh trying to hypnotize us Primers
#3 night drills... and trying to shake off the terrible habit of ... catwalk :/
#4 slow march is funny! in my own little spastic way
#5 killing thad/shaun chan with my bike each time we crossed an overhead bridge
#6 catching zach's bottle which consistently bounced down the bridge's steps
#7 rousing worship
#8 FLORENCE the bomb! (you take the cake, accepting Christ that night after greg loh's sharing)
#9 john had 2 classmates who also accepted Christ about that time
#10 having a good talk with sam and cheryl in the 24-hour clinic
#11 camping outside girls' uniform room with pet flo zhuoer at night
#12 spending the entire night on day 2 with God and nature (:
#13 ... and fellow sleeping Primers in the canteen, looking out for the random juniors lying out in the cold :/
#14 joking around when it was okay to be joking around
#15 caleb's mini-birthday celebrations right after closing of camp
#16 playing with countless water bombs (and being pelted)
#17 making friends, forging closer bonds
#18 getting left heel stuck in drain, followed immediately by right heel o.O
#19 night time walks across the grounds of ACS
#20 reminding myself that without God, none of the above 19 (and WoW) would have been possible... honestly, to God be the Glory, TBIYTB :D

oh and on a light side note, i still prefer barker sanctuary to living waters haha (: this is definitely one of those times... just one of those utterly indescribable moments when you feel ridiculously happy and you know it just cant be demolished (unless middies suddenly shifted 16 days early HAHA)

we lunched out for leb's birthday today... with pet, zhuoer and fellow pimp timtoh (: ate so much, laughed even more, shared jokes and memories of LDC. we all miss it so much, yes even the super-stressed-out chairman haha :D so glad for the possible prayer follow-up soon! *hints to karlo*

well here are definitely a series of thoughts, memories, dreams i'm gonna keep in a corner of my brain, lock it and never let go.

SATC/indiana jones tmr with manda and faith/mom respectively, and a buffet lunch in between with my best BB bitch buddies (ever seen quintuple alliteration?!)

- & so some tag reps!
kim! : i miss having chemistry classes with you too! (: lets meet up in sch sometime? and you must update me kekeke
charlotte: I WANT TO. but like, super busy much? :/ are you? poor things, those teachers, our class has quite a few IB people!
profilo.
she's jayne with a Y, a Christian in Barker Road Methodist Church. turns 18 on 19 DEC 09 (promise nobody will die in the hands of my driving). Currently in 6.14 JOPPA, ACS(I) IB, and a very short while away from taking her IBDP examinations *AHHHH*. will always deeply love GOD, retail therapy (!), food and FRIENDS. & nth charms like CHRISTMAS <3
