Easter easter easter! :) excellent one just past; what with all the chocolate cadbury Creme Easter Eggs at home, a comfortably rousing service on Sunday 830 w organs + aged hymnals + (er...) Fanny Tan's recognizably fluffy hairdo, chitchat w Kim's parents and brothers (HAHA KIM YOU HAVE CUTE (YOUNGER) BROTHERS :D), second brekkie (don't ask) at Garden Halia @ Botanics - think cinnamon french toast and poached eggs :P. knocked out after and arose at 3 to go Ikea for first time in ages. SWEDISH MEATBALLS, chalks (for Zhuoey's card :D) and stamp markers LOL :)
All in all, a gorgeously IB-unproductive, but life's-little-pleasures productive weekend :D and Pastor Malcolm Tan gave a rather memorable preaching up there... Of course his message was the conventional "Christ has died... has risen... Christ will come again" ;) But I think the main takeaway I had was a reminder of how we have this hope in Christ that will see us through just about anything really; and especially if we have the true-heart to pray for it. For us it's IB and everything yeah, but it's also this hope that'll push us through each day and all it's little trials and tribulations, joys and excitements. So yeah, know what will help us start each day all refreshed and renewed, and goaded through the 24 hours... and the year ahead, even? :P
*ding!*
A lot has went on in the past months I'd say, lots more in a year than the whole life of mine put together... there were quite a few 'false starts' back in the last couple of months; weasley little attempts to get back on track w God. But I make and made and am making meself a promise this Easter season, and I really wanna do this well, this time :) Glad to serve for possibly the final time w the worship team for ROD. YAY sleepover in school this Friday w Sam and Feli! :) (will ignore the PEOPLE next door ahahaha - we want GIRL TIME post rehearsal)
So an old friend says: Old things in earlier months still rub raw memories/wounds sometimes; but one also learns to forgive and forget over time. Now all that's left is to make away w inhibitions (fear, skepticism, whatnot) *blink blink?*
AHWELL.
Oh today went back to school in specs, possibly the first time in 9 years... excluding WoW when my lenses started "PMSing" and I had to borrow Sharry's for like 5 days straight I think? (ALSO RED TINTED FRAMES AHAHA!) Anyway, really amusing responses:
"EH... what the. ... *tilts head* oooo RED" (not mervyn)
" Jayne! You look like an octopus!" (hint, a girl's name starting w B and ending in -eulah :P)
"Oh my sexy!" (disclaimer: Petrinaaaaa lol)
"...four eyed monster" (*glares* hahaha "he's dead next time i see him")
"I SEE A TARD standing in front of me!!" (D.I.T. and Jet are equally turdy tards)
"AHHH VIRUS!!!" (STUPID YANDONG)
"william got thick framed specs too! LOOK!" (6.5 people; william gives a WTH look HAHA and so do i)
"ahh... red ah? black nicer eh. wait. why?" (balls is forgiven cos i whacked his head w a door ACCIDENTALLY today D: oopz)
"wah. new retro look ah jayne." (Paul Cheong, distracted from the fact that once again, yours truly was late for class)
"trying to look like a studious professor is it? well done for SQA attempt! BLUE OCEAN." (Loh Kum Leong the Cee Tee)
"eh NS girl?" (typical Papa Lurbee)
... mostly the "WHAT THE-s?" and the whys, and wherefores :P
Funny things... laughter really is the best medicine :) On a sidenote, WON'T be wearing specs to school again in a while, except for days I really need to start cleaning my lenses before I get an infection. YES ALL THIS STEMMED FROM NASTY DIRTY LENSES.
i was happily drinking fresh coconut juice (yes, straight from the coconut) after dinner a short while ago. decided to check up on its nutritious values:
*types in coconut juice under Google*
95.5% water, no fat, LOW calories.
can be used as a replacement for medical saline (IV fluid) in 3rd world countries
...
"wow malu, give me more of this stuff everyday i like it ahaha"
and so all was good and glorious until -
COCONUT JUICE IS NATURAL VIAGRA
!!!! *no comment, absolutely whatsoever*
au revoir :)
